• Steve is Alaska Projects Manager for enXco Development Corporation. He will give a presentation on the wind turbine project on Fire Island. Food Bank Day.

Larry Holman

• Larry, a colorectal cancer survivor has organized the Ride for Life over the past several years, an event which helps make it possible for all Alaskans to be screened for the disease. The goal is to eliminate any mortality from colorectal cancer in Alaska. Our Lions will be working checkpoints for the third year in a row July 25 and 26

Susan Ruddy

• Susan is the head of the Providence Foundation, and she will speak about the economic impact of the Providence Campus upon the community of Anchorage.

Friday, March 27

Denali Gas Pipeline

• A speaker representing the Denali Gas Pipeline Project will update us on the progress being made by the ConocoPhillips - BP partnership project to build our big pipeline. With competing efforts to build the pipeline and with uncertain economic times, the drama is quite compelling.

Alaska Miners & Trappers Ball, Eagan Visitor and Convention Center 7:30 PM with last call at 1:00 AM.

Monday, March 16

• Joint Sight Meeting at the Spenard Lions Club House, 2108 Roosevelt Drive, Anchorage. Start 5:30 PM.

Saturday, March 21

• Food Distribution Joint Project with Latinos Lions Club 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hispanic Cultural Center 4233 Mt. View Drive.

Saturday, March 21

• Indoor Garage Sale, Flea Market and Bake Sale, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Eagle River Lions Club. We can reserve a table for $25, with set-up the day before 5:30-8:00 PM. Call Patsy 622-9774 or Bonnie 696-4005.

Wednesday, March 25

• Spagetti Feed. Meet and greet the Forum Sight Inspection Team, Ealge River Lions Den. Cocktails 6:30 PM - no host bar. Dinner 7:00 PM. Cost $10 per person.

Monday, March 30

• Anchorage Lions Board Meeting at 5:30 PM at the Westmark Hotel.
