* Lion Bjarne will show photos of the preparations for a pedestrian bridge near Spencer Glacier, which will give AK Railroad passengers access to a hiking trail out to Spencer Glacier on the Kenai Peninsula. ( Food Bank Day)

John Zasada * Jon is the Director of Marketing & Development for the Anchorage Neighborhood Health Center. This organization is the primary recipient of funds raised by the Alaska Ride for Life, the two day bicycle ride from Anchorage to Seward, that we support every year.The Health Center is celebrating 40 years of service, and in two years, Anchorage will have a new home for accessible, quality health and dental care that will be available to everyone. The new health center will double the amount of access to appointments that can now be provided, and expand their ability to respond to the ever changing healthcare environment in our community.
Friday, December 17, Lunch Brian Berkhahn * Brian will be talking about suction dredging on the Kenai Peninsula (Thanks Lion Bob). Also, we will get a head start on the celebration of Lion Frank's 98th birthday. His real birthday is the 22nd - one of those kids who only got one combined present for both his birthday and Christmas.

Saturday, December 11 TubaChristmas. Come, hear and see Lion Neal lead the annual tuba band in the Loreen Harrison Lobby of the Anchorage Performing Arts Center. Seating is limited, but there is lots of room to stand. 1:00 PM.
Friday, December 17 Come and enjoy a drink with Lion Frank at the Club Paris at 3 PM to celebrate our birthday boy.
Saturday, December 18 Annual Salvation Bell Ringing by our club, 10AM until 4PM. Three locations: 1) In the front of Nordstroms, 2) 6th avenue entrance to the 5th Avenue Mall, 3) Nordstrom's Sky Bridge. Sign up with Lion Neal. Our club pulls in record donations.

Saturday, December 18

Food Distribution Joint Project with Latinos Lions Club 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hispanic Cultural Center 4233 Mt. View Drive.

Monday, December 20

Joint Sight Meeting at the Spenard Lions Club House, 2108 Roosevelt Drive, Anchorage. Start 5:30 PM.

Wednesday, December 22 We celebrate our most senior Lion, Lion Frank Reed's 98th birthday.

Monday, December 27

Anchorage Lions Board Meeting at 5:30 PM at the Westmark Hotel.
