Lions Bob and Mary Hoekzema

Lions Bob and Mary will give us a show and tell on their recently trip to France, where they traveled around the country by boat. Come and see how they managed to pass through canal locks with only two people to control the gates.

Charity will give us an update on her work with Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

Friday, July 23, Lunch Melinda Freemom Melinda is the Director of Rural Cap, to give a power point program on Homeward Bound (a program for homeless and alcoholic persons, based in Mountain View). She may tell us about Karluk Manor, the proposed new name for the Red Roof Inn, which the organization recently purchased, and its proposed program. (thanks Lion Norm E.)

Food Distribution Joint Project with Latinos Lions Club 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hispanic Cultural Center 4233 Mt. View Drive.

Monday, July 19

Joint Sight Meeting at the Spenard Lions Club House, 2108 Roosevelt Drive, Anchorage. Start 5:30 PM.

Sat - Sun, July 24-25 Ride for Life Alaska, bicycle fund raising effort to prevent colorectal cancer. Contact Lion Bob Hoekzema or Jim Magowan if you can help out.
Monday, July 26 Brief Board Meeting at the Mooring Household. All Welcome, 1029 N Street, followed by an "On the Road Party" for Past Lion President Mark.
