Travels throughout Israel and Egypt, including a visit to the Mesada, a five hour taxi ride across the Sainai Desert in a Mercedes Taxi, a sprint to the top of the Giza Pyramids and a visit to King Tut's Tomb. ( Food Bank Day)

Ralph will speak about the Economics of Alaska and the proposed bullet line for natural gas. Background.

Friday, June 25, Lunch

Georga Stransky and Larry Holman

Our club will be helping again with aide stations for the Fireweed Bicycle Races and the Alaska Ride for Life fund raising bicycle ride from Anchorage to Seward. George will discuss the Fireweed Races and Larry will discuss the Ride for Life, and both will explain how the funds they raise benefit needs within our communities.

Installation Banquet and celebrating our club's 66th birthday, Westmark Hotel at 6:00 PM with a no host bar. Dinner 6:30 PM. Please RSVP to Lion Colette. Choice of Herb Roasted Chicken Breast or Salmon Fillet with Cranberry Pecan Relish. Cost is $35 per person. Guest Speaker will be Lion Council Chairperson Finis Sheldon.

Saturday, June 19

Food Distribution Joint Project with Latinos Lions Club 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hispanic Cultural Center 4233 Mt. View Drive.

Monday, June 21

Joint Sight Meeting at the Spenard Lions Club House, 2108 Roosevelt Drive, Anchorage. Start 5:30 PM.

Thursday, June 24 Don Fridley Golf Classic, our big benefit effort for the Covenant House. Activities get underway 6:30 AM at the Moose Run Golf Course. Contact Lion Vern for more information.

Monday, June 28

Anchorage Lions Board Meeting at 5:30 PM at the Westmark Hotel.
