James will talk about his work with the American Heart Association and the Loren Marshall foundation's Big Wild Heart of Alaska program (cardiac emergency procedures for the public). James is the Operations Battalion Chief for the Anchorage Fire Department, as well as our own Lion Jesse's dad. |

Steve's topic is Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Steve is Executive Director of the Alaska Miners Association. He and his wife recently participated in a 3 week course on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. He has an interesting engineering and historic perspective on the Temple. (Thanks Lion Bob). |

Orientation and complimentary dinner for members who have become Lions the past two years. Our featured speaker will be Lion Lawrence, member of the 49A MERL Team. As a new member come and find out what Lions can offer you, and how you can make a positive contribution to your community. Other Lions are welcome to attend, and will pay for their own dinners. |

| Saturday, March 6 | Miners and Trappers Ball. Egan Center starting 7:30 PM. Beard Contest 8:00 PM and Costume Contest 10:00 PM. Contact Lion Neal for more information. Help is needed starting on Friday at 6 PM to get ready for the event. You can come earlier in the day on Saturday and help blow up balloons, starting at 9AM. Also, help is needed the following day, Sunday at 10 AM to clean up and demobe. |
