Wanda Katinszky

* Wanda is the Director of Oncology Services at Providence Alaska Medical Center. She will give us a Power Point presentation. (Rescheduled presentation from last September.) (Food Bank Day).

DeAnn and Dave Gleason * The Gleasons have written several books on their Alaska experiences. Dave has also written about working in the Soviet Union, where he was beaten up by the KGB and told he would be killed if he returned to that country. (Thanks you Lion Jim).
Friday, January 21, Lunch Josh and Christina Woods * Josh and Christina met one another while each serving in the Peace Corps in Mali, Africa. Now they plan to marry in 2011. Their talk about their Peace Corps experiences promises to be fascinating. (Thank you Lion Craig).
Friday, January 28, Lunch Walt Hayes * Lion Walt is with the Anchorage Mt. McKinley Lions Club, and he will tell us about his recent trip to Guatamala, where he helped distribute Personal Energy Transportation vehicles (PET). * Food Distribution Joint Project with Latinos Lions Club 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hispanic Cultural Center 4233 Mt. View Drive.

Monday, January 17

* Joint Sight Meeting at the Spenard Lions Club House, 2108 Roosevelt Drive, Anchorage. Start 5:30 PM.

Wednesday, January 26 * The Lions Holiday Party will be held at the Westmark Hotel. Doors open at 5:30 PM an dinner starts at 6:15 PM. The menu will be Prime Rib or Roast Turkey. If you would like a vegetarian dinner, please make arrangements in advance. We will have a gift exchange - $20 maximum per gift. Cost will be about $35/person. Please RSVP to Lion Dave Traver or Lion Bob Hoekzema.
