Here is a quote from Suzanne Bach, Fine Arts Coordinator, Matanuska-Susitna College:
"After a two year search to obtain a Fulbright Scholar for the Matanuska-Susitna
College Art Department, I find that Enrique Badaro's eight-month stay in Alaska seems much too short. Fondly known as "Kike" (pronounced keekay), he captivates audiences as he humbly shares information about his country, Uruguay, and generously exudes his expert knowledge in art and art history. He is positively influencing the students and faculty at Matanuska-Susitna College, as well as leaving a footprint of knowledge and enthusiasm in the community. The exhilarating experience of knowing this brilliant man is a lifelong treasure."
Daphne Brown, Architect with Kumin and Associates, Architects, the Architect of Record for the Anchorage Museum of History and Art expansion will give us a look at the latest drawings for the stunning new addition. There will be new galleries for the Smithsonian collections and the Imaginarium's science exhibits; a new toddlers and pre-schoolers exploration area, new archives housing the Alaska historic collection, new library, gift shop and cafe.
